Greek Life Means...
Scholarship

Every Greek organization at the University of Utah works to help their new and current members learn and develop through higher education. Fraternities and sororities promote academic excellence through peer tutoring, class selection assistance, group study sessions, resource information, learning incentives, increased computer lab access, and scholarship opportunities. Most chapters work to provide new members with upper-classmen study partners, all-house quiet hours, and help to arrange for tutors and study sessions that work to improve time management, study skills development, and improvements in test taking. Fraternities and sororities help hundreds of new students each year by providing a successful transition from high school to college. Excelling academically is a first priority for all fraternity and sorority members, which is why the all-Greek grade-point average traditionally surpasses the all-student average.
